The presence of Polish brands at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai and the organization of accompanying events, such as the Polish-Japanese Export Forum, testify to the strategic approach to the promotion of Polish business in Japan - a country with huge economic potential and a growing interest in cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe.

The World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is a unique opportunity to strengthen trade relations and open new channels of interaction between Polish and Japanese companies. Expo 2025 as a catalyst for economic cooperation between Poland and Japan

Innovation and sustainability – assets of Polish companies in Japan

Japan is one of the world’s largest economies in terms of nominal GDP and has maintained a high level of technological sophistication for years. At the same time, it is characterized by high demand for modern, sustainable and cost-effective solutions, which Polish companies are increasingly offering. Many of the industries included in the Economic Program of Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai – such as medical and pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, IT and FinTech, green technologies, the agri-food sector (including AgriTech) and computer game production (gamedev) – represent Poland’s high export and innovation potential.

The forums are organized as part of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Strategic Partnership between Poland and Japan. These are the most important economic events prepared by Poland during the Expo in Osaka.

New export opportunities for Poland in the context of Expo 2025

The main advantages of the Japanese market for Polish exporters

One of Japan’s greatest strengths as a target market is its stability, legal security and business predictability. Japanese partners are known for their loyalty and preference for long-term cooperation, which is conducive to building sustainable and resilient supply chains. High quality requirements and openness to innovation on the part of Japanese consumers and companies are other factors that provide an advantage for Polish products and services. Polish companies are increasingly responding to these needs by offering technologically advanced, aesthetically pleasing and competitively priced solutions. This supports the growing interest in Poland as a dynamic economic partner in the European region.

Institutional support and opening to the Asian market

Polish companies interested in a presence in Japan can count on professional institutional support, particularly from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), which organizes economic missions, workshops, training courses and facilitates the establishment of contacts with Japanese partners.

Poland’s presence in the Japanese market is a long-term investment with great potential. Participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is beneficial for establishing lasting business contacts, export contracts and joint research and development projects. It is worth noting in this context the Kansai region, one of the most industrialized areas of Japan, whose GDP is on pace with some European and Asian countries. Increasing cooperation with Japan can also open the door to the wider East Asian market.

Focus on quality, creativity and innovation in dealing with Japan

Economists agree that the potential for economic cooperation with Japan – especially in the context of industries strategic to Poland – is very high. The Japanese market, although demanding, offers great opportunities for ambitious and innovative Polish entrepreneurs. Presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, combined with participation in economic events and trade fairs, is a unique opportunity to showcase the potential of Polish innovation, quality and creativity. Companies that are already building relationships with Japanese partners have a chance in the coming years to become leaders in exports and intercontinental cooperation. Japan is not just a target market – it is a strategic economic partner for Poland in the 21st century.
