The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region: Serenity - Impulse – Power

Exposition of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is divided into three parts: “SERENITY”, “IMPULSE” and “POWER”.

First part, which derives from the history and tradition of Kujawy and Pomorze, will gather the visitors around a miniature model showcasing our region as a soaring island. It displays most important monuments, as well as elements alluding to local tales and legends. The visitors will be able to see the image of Nicolaus Copernicus reconstructed from the astronomer’s skull. “SERENITY” encourages to visit Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region through presenting its cultural heritage and tradition.

The “IMPULSE” part appeals to present time. This installation comprises of QR codes, which guide the visitors through a multimedia library. Inside the library one can find out about present accomplishments, technological development, important people and ambassadors of the region. It gives an impulse for discovering the voivodship.

“POWER” is the final part of the exposition. The authors of this part look to the future of the voivodship in a futuristic way. The Rad Duet, fashion designers, will present their work “Kowalski in space” and Wiesio Collection inspired by earthenware distinctive for Włocławek City located in Kujawy and Pomorze. Moreover, the visitors will be able to experience an audiovisual installation corresponding with the first planet outside the solar system, discovered by professor Aleksander Wolszczan, an astronomer from the City of Toruń. “POWER” exposition will showcase scientific potential of the region where, just as it was during the life of Nicolaus Copernicus, revolutionary discoveries are taking place. Discoveries with a potential to change the world.

In addition to the temporary exhibition, the region will also organize a number of interesting activities, e.g. gingerbread workshops, astronomy workshop, music concerts by Tomasz Organek. Details in the event calendar.
