Commissioner General of the Polish Section at Expo 2025 Osaka appointed

On the 17th of May 2022 the Polish Council of Ministers adopted a resolution appointing Grzegorz Piechowiak, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology, as the Commissioner General of the Polish Section at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

Thus, Poland began the next phase of preparations for the World Exposition, which will take place in 2025 in Japan’s third largest city. Polish participation will become a great opportunity for a wide-scale promotion of the country, with particular emphasis on the development of trade and investment cooperation with Japan.

By taking part in Expo 2025, Poland plans to contribute mainly to: intensification of economic and cultural exchange between Poland and Asian countries, including Japan, increase of the inflow of foreign investment to Poland and development of tourism from Japan and other Asian countries. Extensive promotional activities will by aimed at strengthening the “Poland” brand both in Japan and in the international arena, including the image of Poland as a technologically advanced country that cares about the natural environment.

Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) created Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai Team to coordinate all of the activities associated with preparations of Polish participation in Expo 2025. PAIH has been commissioned by Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to contribute to this task.

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai Team is supported by PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Tokyo as well as by other PAIH teams and offices.
