Adrian Malinowski will now lead Poland’s preparations for the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai

Poland’s Council of Ministers appointed a new Commissioner General for the Polish section of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai. The position was accepted by Adrian Malinowski, previously the Director of the Department of Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Development.

Poland is recognized as an outstanding participant in World Exhibitions. In Dubai, we want to continue the “Polish Story” showing Poland as a country whose main potential are its people – creative, hard-working, well educated,  cooperative, full of energy and smart. As Commissioner General, I want to make every effort to ensure that a varied presentation of Poland at the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai brings measurable results – not only in terms of image but also in an economic context. Adrian Malinowski replaced as General Commissioner, Tadeusz Kościński, Poland’s new  Minister of Finance.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) under the supervision of the Ministry of Development is responsible for Poland’s participation in the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai.

Adrian Malinowski – biographical note

Between 2018–2020, Adrian Malinowski  served first as Deputy, then as Director of the Department of Trade and International Cooperation in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, and then at the Ministry of Development. At that time, he was responsible for bilateral economic relations with countries inside and outside of the EU, cooperation with international organizations (OECD, WHO, UNIDO), the identification and elimination of trade barriers, trade policy and customs and protective measures. He represented Poland in the Trade Policy Committee at the European Council, he was also responsible for international economic promotion and foreign expansion of Polish enterprises and implementing the country’s strategic activities as set out in Poland’s Strategy for Responsible Development.

Prior to his appointment to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, in the years 2004–2018 he was associated with the Bank Zachodni WBK SA, where he was responsible for the creation of new  products, sales strategies and their execution, managing product and customer retention processes, building relations with the bank’s distribution network and external partners. He was also responsible for the organization of events. In the years 2012–2018 he held both managerial functions and ones at director level.

Adrian is a graduate of the Poznań University of Economics and holds a degree in International Relations with a specialization in management and economics.
