There are less than 300 days left until the opening of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency inform that the project is entering a key phase. In the last few days, negotiations have been completed and the contract for the construction of the Poland Pavilion, the most important element of the entire project, has been signed.
The economic promotion programme is the key element of Poland’s participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in Japan. As part of the promotional activities preceding the Expo, Japanese entrepreneurs and journalists – a total of 74 people – will be invited to Poland to participate in 7 inbound missions. The first three missions will take place as early as September this year, with more to follow in the months leading up to the Expo.
Within the framework of cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź organised a competition for students of the Dressmaking Institute to design outfits for the Poland Pavilion staff at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan has a set of broad ambitions. It will be a gateway through which to see, experience and imagine the future society for our lives and act as a springboard for realising and achieving the United Nations’ SDGs and beyond. It will be an opportunity for Japan to take its next leap forward – in terms of society, technology, and humanity, hand-in-hand with the next generation of young people, leaving a legacy of developing new thinkers, doers and leaders for future society and our lives.
The chemical industry plays a key role in the structure of the Polish economy, and its strength is represented by more than 13,000 enterprises operating throughout the country. In 2019, the export value of this sector exceeded PLN 141 million. Whereas on the energy market in Poland, there are four large energy groups: PGE, Tauron, Enea and Energa, which generate approx. 70% of the energy across the country.
ICT industry is one of the fastest growing economic branches in Poland and a global showcase for our country. ICT specialists have also passed the exam in the new market reality caused by the coronavirus epidemic.
Over 300 entrepreneurs and representatives of Polish business support institutions participated in the inaugural seminar of the training series titled “An Opportunity to Develop Your Business in Japan – Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai”. The event was organised by the PAIH Expo Team.
During meetings, main objectives of Polish participation in Expo 2025 Osaka were presented and particular programs to be implemented during the World Exhibition were discussed, including economic, cultural, tourism, science and regional promotion programs.
As Deputy Commissioner General, Eliza Klonowska-Siwak will support Deputy Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak (Commissioner General of the Polish Section) in managing the Expo preparation process.
Poland was among first nine countries to sign this type of contract, along with Azerbaijan, Brazil, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Thus, Poland began the next phase of preparations for the World Exposition, which will take place in 2025 in Japan’s third largest city. Polish participation will become a great opportunity for a wide-scale promotion of the country, with particular emphasis on the development of trade and investment cooperation with Japan.
Poland can also boast 23 national parks, 120 landscape parks, and numerous monuments. The World Exhibition in Dubai was an excellent opportunity to promote the country as an appealing tourist destination that offers high-quality tourist infrastructure.
