Poland signed bilateral agreements with partners from the United Arab Emirates, and strengthened its export and investment potential in the Middle East. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) was responsible for the organisation of the events and Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
For Grenton company, last week, which began with the participation in the Polish-Arab Economic Forum, was crowned with the event – Grenton Day, organised in the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Polish-Arab Economic Forum will be held on 6 December. It is the main business event organised as part of Poland’s participation in Expo in Dubai. The guests will include Polish entrepreneurs as well as state officials from Poland and the United Arab Emirates. Poland will present the export potential of its domestic goods and services, while Polish entrepreneurs will have a chance to establish relations with economic partners from the region. The Honour Day of Poland at Expo 2020 Dubai, planned for 7 December, marks a remarkable moment when all Expo 2020 visitors’ eyes will turn to Poland. In November, the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai host temporary exhibition entitled “Creative by nature” organized by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland – the central government body responsible for granting exclusive rights to inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications and the topography of integrated circuits. The Art Director of the exhibition is a Polish designer and curator of many exhibitions, Dorota Koziara.
At Expo 2020 Dubai, Poland presents the achievements of the furniture industry and showcases its greatest successes. The export and investment potential of Polish companies is promoted as part of a comprehensive economic program prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Poland is the second largest furniture exporter in the world, surpassed only by China.
The Independence Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai were a unique opportunity to showcase the rich heritage of Polish culture. The highlight of this special day was the evening Gala Concert featuring the music of Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko and Mieczysław Karłowicz. The 3rd prize winner of the 18th Chopin Competition, Martín García García, and the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyka have performed on the stage of the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre.
