Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 honored the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

At Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025, we honored the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising – an event that is forever etched in the history and identity of our nation.

On August 1st, exactly at 5:00 PM Japan time – the symbolic “W” hour – the entire Poland Pavilion fell silent in a moment of reflection. In a gesture of remembrance and solidarity with compatriots around the world, we paused to honor the heroes of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising – those who, with courage and determination, fought for freedom and carried hope through the darkest times.

Together with our Japanese guests, we watched a moving presentation of audiovisual materials prepared by the Warsaw Rising Museum. Visitors received commemorative pins featuring the symbol of “Fighting Poland” and had the opportunity to stamp their Expo passports with a special seal marking the anniversary.

Cześć i chwała Bohaterom!
