A delegation from the Lewiatan Confederation, one of the leading employer organizations in Poland, visited Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen economic ties between Poland and Japan and to promote the potential of Polish enterprises in the Asian market.

“Poland Pavilion is an excellent showcase of our country. Its sophisticated architecture and engaging exhibition are attracting crowds of visitors. At Expo 2025, we are presenting Poland as a modern, creative, and innovative nation – a country worth visiting and investing in. This is exactly how we should present ourselves not only in Japan but across the globe: boldly and confidently,” said Dr. Henryka Bochniarz, Founding President of the Lewiatan Confederation.

Dr. Henryka Bochniarz was accompanied by Maciej Witucki, Chairman of the Main Council; Małgorzata Mroczkowska-Horne, Director General; Professor Jacek Męcina, Advisor to the Management Board; Andrzej Trela, Director of Key Relations; as well as representatives of Lewiatan member companies operating in the fields of technology, industry, sustainability, and innovation.

As part of the visit, a discussion panel titled “Polish-Japanese Economic Cooperation” was held. The Japanese side was represented by Ichinoki Manatsu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Expo 2025 Organizing Committee, as well as Wada Aya and Arai Mihoko from the Economic Strategy Office of the Osaka City Government. A representative of the Japan Pavilion also took part in the panel. The discussions focused on topics such as Poland’s potential as a business partner for Japanese companies, robotics, dual-use technologies, industrial decarbonization, and the growing role of women in leadership and management.

An important part of the event was the presentation of a commemorative postage stamp featuring the image of the Poland Pavilion, prepared by Poczta Polska.

World Expo is one of the most important global events this year. Poland’s presence in Osaka is an impressive undertaking – both in terms of Poland Pavilion itself and the numerous accompanying events. Wishing to take part in this extraordinary occasion, Poczta Polska has prepared the issuance of a commemorative stamp, serving as an artistic contribution to promoting Poland as an innovative, open country full of creative energy“, said Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of Poczta Polska.

The issuance also included a collectible First Day Cover (FDC) and a special commemorative postmark. The stamp features the modern architectural form of Poland Pavilion. The official slogan of Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 – “Poland. Heritage that drives the future” – appears both on the stamp and the FDC. The postmark, in turn, is inspired by a bird’s-eye view of the pavilion.

The stamp was issued in a run of 90,000 copies. It was designed by Roch Stefaniak.
