Another International Distinction for the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
The Poland Pavilion Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by Interplay Architects, has been awarded the OPAL Award London
The Poland Pavilion Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by Interplay Architects, has been awarded the OPAL Award London (Outstanding Property Award) in the category Architectural Design – Exhibition – Cultural.
This marks the fourth international distinction received by the Poland Pavilion, highlighting the standing of its architecture and design within Poland’s presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Architecture and Concept
The Pavilion’s concept is rooted in the geometry of the spiral—a form found in nature from molecular structures to galactic systems. The spiral structure serves as a metaphor for Polish identity understood as openness, dynamism, and innovation. The architecture, based on the use of wood, evokes the image of a wave of creativity spreading outward, symbolising the free circulation of ideas and knowledge. Innovations transcend borders, disseminate globally, and—enriched by international experience—return to their symbolic centre.
International Awards
The Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 has received a series of prestigious international awards. Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka has previously been recognised by leading international institutions:
