Digital Dreamers – Polish video games at EXPO 2025

On October 1-5, 2025, the Polish video game sector presented itself at the Digital Dreamers: Games from Poland festival as part of Poland's participation in the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka. The event, organized by the Institute of Creative Industries (IPK) in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), was an excellent opportunity to promote Polish game development in Asia.
The festival, located in Gallery West at EXPO 2025, presented 20 carefully selected video games that reflected the diversity and innovation of the Polish industry. Visitors had the opportunity to see both established productions and new projects, which aroused great interest among the Japanese audience.
The Polish presentation was visited by several thousand people every day. The success of the event was possible thanks to the involvement of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Vitruvio Foundation and Indie Games. The festival was also visited by representatives of numerous Japanese media outlets.
“The exhibition of Polish games at EXPO 2025 in Osaka is a unique opportunity to showcase our country’s creative potential,” said Aleksandra Szymańska, director of the Institute of Creative Industries. “Digital Dreamers” showed that Polish game development is an innovative and dynamically developing sector that fits in with the motto of EXPO 2025, “Heritage that drives the future.”
Participation in EXPO 2025 is a strategic step in building the recognition of the Polish industry worldwide. Creating a platform for meetings and exchange of experiences opens the door to future business relationships and strengthens Poland’s position in the global gaming industry.
