On 1 October 2021, Poland officially inaugurated its presence at Expo 2020 Dubai.

In the three months since the opening of the Poland Pavilion, many events have taken place to promote Poland’s culture and economy, and the business potential of its companies, culminating in the Polish–Arab Economic Forum (6 December 2021) and the National Day of Poland (7 December 2021). Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai together with its extensive economic programme was organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

Polish productions such as “Cyberpunk 2077” and “The Witcher: Wild Hunt” are very successful all over the world, and enjoy great interest among players and critics. The domestic gamedev industry has been going from strength to strength in recent years. Currently, the electronic entertainment sector consists of 470 game studios in Poland, which release approximately 480 new titles a year.

For years, Polish companies and institutions have been actively working towards a responsible and sustainable technological transformation. The result is achievements in the fields of low-emission transport, passive construction and waste management. The potential of innovative green technologies on the international arena is strengthened by Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency has prepared a comprehensive economic programme with great opportunities for entrepreneurs to establish new business contacts.

Poland signed bilateral agreements with partners from the United Arab Emirates, and strengthened its export and investment potential in the Middle East. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) was responsible for the organisation of the events and Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

For Grenton company, last week, which began with the participation in the Polish-Arab Economic Forum, was crowned with the event – Grenton Day, organised in the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The Polish-Arab Economic Forum will be held on 6 December. It is the main business event organised as part of Poland’s participation in Expo in Dubai. The guests will include Polish entrepreneurs as well as state officials from Poland and the United Arab Emirates. Poland will present the export potential of its domestic goods and services, while Polish entrepreneurs will have a chance to establish relations with economic partners from the region. The Honour Day of Poland at Expo 2020 Dubai, planned for 7 December, marks a remarkable moment when all Expo 2020 visitors’ eyes will turn to Poland. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is responsible for the organisation of the Forum and Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Industrial design has a long history in Poland. We had our first achievements in this field in 1925 at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris. After the war, Wanda Telakowska was an important figure for the development of applied arts. What is the standing of Polish industrial design today? A unique opportunity to promote and showcase achievements in this field is Expo 2020 Dubai. We are showing the potential of Polish artists as part of the Economic Programme prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

Poland is Europe’s leader of the yacht industry, producing around 22,000 yachts per year. Our vessels are in great demand in Norway, France and Germany. Expo 2020 Dubai is a unique opportunity to remind the world of this fact. Since the beginning of the World Expo, a special module of the “Polish Table”, prepared by the Conrad Shipyard, has been the showpiece of the yacht sector. New contacts will be established at a trade show concurrent with the World Expo – the Dubai International Boat Show. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency is responsible for Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

In November, the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai host temporary exhibition entitled “Creative by nature” organized by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland – the central government body responsible for granting exclusive rights to inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications and the topography of integrated circuits. The Art Director of the exhibition is a Polish designer and curator of many exhibitions, Dorota Koziara.

At Expo 2020 Dubai, Poland presents the achievements of the furniture industry and showcases its greatest successes. The export and investment potential of Polish companies is promoted as part of a comprehensive economic program prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Poland is the second largest furniture exporter in the world, surpassed only by China.
