The recruitment of 150 students from Polish universities to work in the Pavilion of Poland during Expo 2020 Dubai has started. Five universities expressed their interest in participating in the project – the Vistula University and the Vistula School of Hospitality, the University of Warsaw, Cracow University of Economics, the University of Lodz and Bialystok University.
The competition to select the designer of the concept of the outfits for the staff of the Poland Pavilion at the World Exhibition Expo 2020 Dubai has started. The participants are students of clothing design of the Lodz University of Technology, who prepared their projects as part of their study program.
Soon new initiatives, which are part of the economic program which will accompany Poland’s participation in the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai, are to be launched. The program consists of 13 support tools, aimed at Polish entrepreneurs who want to develop their business in the countries of the Persian Gulf, by taking advantage of Poland’s participation in this the world’s largest promotional and exhibition event. The first initiative – the Go to Brand Expo 2020 program implemented by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development – starts on January 27.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency would like to announces a competition for an operator for the shop in Poland’s Pavilion at the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai. The Winner of the competition will be given the opportunity to conduct commercial activities in the form of a showroom in the Pavilion and an e-shop available both via the web site and mobile devices.
On December 7, 2021, the „Polish Day” will take place at the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai. It will be the culmination of our presence at this six-month long, world’s largest economic and promotional event. Which due to, the coronavirus pandemic was postponed till 01/10/2021–31/03/2022. „Polish Day” will fall on the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Polish embassy in Abu Dhabi, and at the same time during the celebration of the” Golden Jubilee Week”, i.e. the 50th anniversary of the unification of the United Arab Emirates.
Polish hospitality, the dynamics of strategic sectors of the Polish economy, a combination of our design, art and technological achievements – this is how we will introduce Poland at the Expo 2020 in Dubai. The main idea of our participation will be the motto: „Poland. Creativity inspired by nature.” Expo 2020 Dubai due to the coronavirus pandemic will start in exactly one year’s time – October 1, 2021. The ideas behind the Polish presentation, were developed as part of extensive cooperation between ministries, public administration institutions and the culture and science sector.
How does the pandemic affect the organization of Expo 2020 Dubai – one of the first events, on a global scale to actually take place in the new reality? How to combine traditional messages with the digital world? Delegates from over 190 countries, members of the UAE government, representatives of the Bureau of World Exhibitions (BIE), and trade partners discussed the new challenges, just over a year before the opening of the World Exhibition, during the first fully virtual meeting of the official participants of Expo 2020 Dubai (International Participants meeting).
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency would like to announce a competition for the restaurant operator in the Poland Pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai. The winner of the competition will be given the opportunity to run a commercial catering business for half a year, from October 2021 to March 2022. The deadline for submission of offers expires on 30 September 2020.

This will be the culmination of our presence at this six-month, world’s largest economic and promotional event. The new date for Polish Day falls on the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Polish Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, and its celebration will be accompanied by a meeting of representatives of the highest state authorities of both countries, as well as economic and cultural events.
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency has concluded an agreement with the consortium of Science Now, Stellar Fireworks and Tellart for Content management: the concept and production of multimedia material in the Poland Pavilion at the EXPO Dubai 2020 World Exhibition. The joint project includes, creating a narrative concept, creating the experience and implementing the multimedia content in the Poland Pavilion. The consortium was selected by PAIH in a competition conducted under the public procurement law procedure.
Poland’s Council of Ministers appointed a new Commissioner General for the Polish section of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai. The position was accepted by Adrian Malinowski, previously the Director of the Department of Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Development.
