Picturesque Gdańsk, the majestic Malbork Castle, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the historic Kraków, and the charming Zakopane. These are just some of the many places visited by eight Japanese journalists during the press trip organized as part of promotional activities preceding Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
As part of the implementation of promotional activities related to Poland’s participation in the upcoming World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, a Polish mural was unveiled in Osaka in early August. The project continued with the invitation of a Japanese artist to Poland and the creation of the mural in Białystok.
With the inauguration of the construction of the Poland Pavilion for the upcoming World Expo, a special mural designed by Polish artist Aleksandra Czudżak has been completed. The theme of the mural is the slogan of the Poland Pavilion, “Heritage that drives the future”.
On 8 August a ceremony was held on Yumeshima Island to hand over the plot of land and inaugurate the construction of the Poland Pavilion for the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The world’s largest and most prestigious economic, cultural and tourism event will take place there next April.
At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Poland will present itself at a national pavilion of almost 1,000 sq. m in the “Saving Lives” thematic district. The architectural concept is based on the use of wood, and the shape of the structure should suggest a dispersing wave of the creativity and innovativeness of Polish people.
At the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Poland will be presented as a country whose main resource is its people – creative, imaginative and open to challenges. The “gene of creativity”, passed down from one generation to the next, allows for new ideas to be generated and directly contributes to Poland’s dynamic development.
There are less than 300 days left until the opening of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency inform that the project is entering a key phase. In the last few days, negotiations have been completed and the contract for the construction of the Poland Pavilion, the most important element of the entire project, has been signed.
The economic promotion programme is the key element of Poland’s participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in Japan. As part of the promotional activities preceding the Expo, Japanese entrepreneurs and journalists – a total of 74 people – will be invited to Poland to participate in 7 inbound missions. The first three missions will take place as early as September this year, with more to follow in the months leading up to the Expo.
Within the framework of cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź organised a competition for students of the Dressmaking Institute to design outfits for the Poland Pavilion staff at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan has a set of broad ambitions. It will be a gateway through which to see, experience and imagine the future society for our lives and act as a springboard for realising and achieving the United Nations’ SDGs and beyond. It will be an opportunity for Japan to take its next leap forward – in terms of society, technology, and humanity, hand-in-hand with the next generation of young people, leaving a legacy of developing new thinkers, doers and leaders for future society and our lives.
