Julia Glassworks is a unique Polish manufacturer of crystal glass. Its history, of which dates back to 1842, is inextricably linked with two German glass producers: the Josephine glassworks from Szklarska Poręba and the Fritz Heckert glassworks from Piechowice.
Polish companies are more frequently choosing to internationalise their business activities. They include boat and yacht manufacturers (we are one of the biggest producers of 6-11 metre vessels, second only to the USA) and companies from the food industry regarded as the European leaders. During Expo 2020 Dubai, Poland has been establishing new business contacts in Middle Eastern and African markets. On 1 October 2021, Poland officially inaugurated its presence at Expo 2020 Dubai.
In the three months since the opening of the Poland Pavilion, many events have taken place to promote Poland’s culture and economy, and the business potential of its companies, culminating in the Polish–Arab Economic Forum (6 December 2021) and the National Day of Poland (7 December 2021). Poland’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai together with its extensive economic programme was organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

Currently, the electronic entertainment sector consists of 470 game studios in Poland, which release approximately 480 new titles a year.

For Grenton company, last week, which began with the participation in the Polish-Arab Economic Forum, was crowned with the event – Grenton Day, organised in the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Polish-Arab Economic Forum will be held on 6 December. It is the main business event organised as part of Poland’s participation in Expo in Dubai. The guests will include Polish entrepreneurs as well as state officials from Poland and the United Arab Emirates. Poland will present the export potential of its domestic goods and services, while Polish entrepreneurs will have a chance to establish relations with economic partners from the region. The Honour Day of Poland at Expo 2020 Dubai, planned for 7 December, marks a remarkable moment when all Expo 2020 visitors’ eyes will turn to Poland. Industrial design has a long history in Poland. We had our first achievements in this field in 1925 at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris. After the war, Wanda Telakowska was an important figure for the development of applied arts. What is the standing of Polish industrial design today? A unique opportunity to promote and showcase achievements in this field is Expo 2020 Dubai. We are showing the potential of Polish artists as part of the Economic Programme prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
Poland is Europe’s leader of the yacht industry, producing around 22,000 yachts per year. Our vessels are in great demand in Norway, France and Germany. Expo 2020 Dubai is a unique opportunity to remind the world of this fact. Since the beginning of the World Expo, a special module of the “Polish Table”, prepared by the Conrad Shipyard, has been the showpiece of the yacht sector. New contacts will be established at a trade show concurrent with the World Expo – the Dubai International Boat Show.
