The decaphonic piano is a revolutionary instrument that breaks away from the classical division of the octave. The ten-tone scale (10-TET) creates new tonal colors, previously unattainable by acoustic instruments – opening the doors to an entirely new world of sound.
The tuning method of the 10-TET scale was developed by Aleksander Bogucki, Paweł Nurowski, Andrzej Włodarczyk, and Leszek Możdżer in collaboration with the Center for Theoretical Physics at the Polish Academy of Sciences. This innovation is currently subject to a patent application and will be presented as part of Poland’s participation in the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Kansai.
