On September 4th, at the Sankei Hall Breeze concert hall in Osaka, the international premiere of the performance “The Peasants – Tańcuj” will take place.

On September 4, 2025, the international premiere of „The Peasants – Dance” will take place at the prestigious Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka. This high-energy performance combines centuries-old Polish folk music and dance traditions with contemporary choreography, electronic sounds, and multimedia stage design.

The project draws inspiration from the 2023 animated film „The Peasants”, directed by DK and Hugh Welchman, as well as the Nobel Prize-winning novel by Władysław Reymont. Painterly visuals come to life on stage, while the sounds of traditional folk instruments blend with electronic music, creating a rich, multisensory experience.

The performers will include musicians from the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra (Maria Pomianowska, Karolina Skrzyńska, Piotr Kopietz, Bartek Niebielecki, Maciej Sadowski), artists from the “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble (Izabela Wojtasik, Anna Olszowska, Sylwia Sajdak, Julia Pawlak), instrumentalists from the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, and renowned dancers – Piotr Stanek, Olga Bury, Giorgij Puchalski, and Aneta Jankowska. The entire performance will be directed by Daniela Komędera.

The performance is based on the multi-award-winning, platinum-certified soundtrack of the film „The Peasants”, composed by L.U.C. – recipient of prestigious honors including The Eagles Polish Film Awards and the Fryderyk Award.

As part of the visit to Japan, a Polish-Japanese mural will also be created – a collaborative work by a Polish artist and the WALLSHARE collective, symbolizing the artistic dialogue between the two countries.
