Poland that inspires – Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski visits Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski visited Poland Pavilion during his official trip to Japan, focused on cooperation in digitalization and cybersecurity. His presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai strongly emphasized the role Poland plays today on the global stage of technology, innovation, and cultural values.
During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the concept and execution of the Polish exhibition:
“Poland Pavilion is much more than just an exhibition. It is an emotional, thoughtful story about who we are as a nation—rooted in tradition, yet boldly reaching toward the future. Here, we find a beautiful blend of technology, nature, and culture. Poland presents itself to the world as a modern, creative, and sensitive country. I am proud that our presence at the World Expo in Osaka resonates with such strength and elegance,” said Krzysztof Gawkowski.
Deputy Prime Minister showed particular interest in the Plantation of Ideas — the innovation zone located at the heart of Poland Pavilion. This space showcases groundbreaking ideas and solutions from six key sectors of the economy, selected based on the needs of the Japanese market: pharmaceutical and medical, IT and FinTech, green technologies (including the hydrogen industry), agriculture and food (including AgriTech), cosmetics, and game development. It is here that Poland demonstrates its technological, research, and creative potential.
The showcased innovations draw strength both from nature and the latest technological achievements, as well as advanced scientific knowledge. These solutions promote health, safety, and sustainable development — all united by the Polish “creativity gene.” In this zone, Poland strongly presents itself as a partner capable of shaping the future in dialogue with the world’s largest economies.
Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied on his visit to Poland Pavilion by Konrad Gołota, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets. In his remarks, he highlighted the impactful nature of the exhibition:
“Poland Pavilion attracts crowds—and that’s no coincidence. It combines modernity with tradition, symbolism with emotion. This place presents Poland in a fresh, inspiring, and classy way. For me personally, it was a journey into the depths of Polish identity, which I rediscovered,” said Konrad Gołota.
Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski’s visit to Japan includes a series of meetings with representatives from Japanese authorities and the new technology sector. The goal is to strengthen cooperation in digital transformation and create opportunities for Japanese companies in the European Union market. In this context, Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 plays an important role in promoting Poland’s modern image—as an open, technologically advanced, and inspiring country.
As part of his visit to Expo 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister also toured the pavilions of Japan, Ukraine, the European Union, and the Tech World zone.
