Celebration of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai

On June 30, 2025, Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka will become the site of a unique event held in celebration of Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Under the slogan “Kindness Day,” the event will be an affirmation of values that today – more than ever – have the power to unite people: kindness, community and creative engagement.
The celebration is part of a broader program that falls under the theme of the “Saving Lives” zone, where Poland Pavilion is located. We understand this slogan not only as a concern for physical health, but also for social relationships, mental health and community resilience.
On this day, we are also part of the Expo 2025 Theme Week: Health and Well-being, which asks an important question:
“How do we build a society in which the well-being of each individual resonates with the well-being of the community?”
At the center will be the idea of kindness – not as a gesture, but as a real social force.
It shapes the emotional environment in which we live. It builds trust, provides a sense of security, strengthens resilience and influences our mental well-being. In a world full of tension and uncertainty, kindness is the foundation of healthy relationships and strong societies.
The EU-Japan International Medical Conference “United to Save Lives” will also be held on June 26 to discuss, among other things, how the academic and business communities can work together to improve people’s lives. Partners in the event include the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo, the EU-Japan Center, the EU Delegation to Japan, Osaka Prefecture and AMED Agency.
A special element of the celebration will be the presence of Jerzy Owsiak – founder of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, a social movement that has moved millions for more than three decades. GOCC is a unique phenomenon on a global scale – it combines music, joy and action for the common good, becoming living proof that civic activism and empathy can change the world.
The workshop zone of Poland Pavilion will create a space for interactive cultural and regional workshops, showcasing the richness of Polish creativity, crafts and education – this time as seen in the Lower Silesian Region – where art and creative activities will also be presented as art therapy tools and pathways to well-being.

The evening concert, in turn, invites the audience on an artistic journey through twelve chapters of European cultural history – creating a symphonic poem that cannot only be heard, but also seen.
Symbiosis is the culmination of the philosophy of music as a space for diversity. Each of the 12 specially prepared compositions will bring a different cultural, stylistic and technological perspective, but all will add up to one cohesive narrative. The concert will feature artists representing different regions of Europe and the world, including Saycet, Pantha du Prince, Catz’n’Dogz, Lubomyr Melnyk, Ana Beyron, together forming a hybrid, multicultural orchestra of the 21st century.
Poland initiates the project and gives it an identity – as a country that has experienced transformation, a dialogue between East and West, a country with a multi-layered identity, where music has often been a tool for understanding across divides.
Admission is free for all Expo 2025 ticket holders as of June 30.
Poland’s Presidency Day at Expo 2025 is not just a national presentation – it’s an invitation to reflect on what unites and builds us. It is a day in which we celebrate the power of community, the importance of empathy and the belief that the future – perhaps even more than technology – needs human warmth, openness and kindness today.
