From September 18 to 23, 2025, the Poland Pavilion at Expo Osaka will host the Polish Tourism and Sports Week – an event promoting active lifestyles, Poland’s tourism offer, and the modern face of Polish sport and mobility culture. The event is organized by the Polish Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and LOT Polish Airlines.

Chopin – A Bridge Between Poland and Japan

One of the unique attractions of Poland’s presentation at EXPO will be an interactive portal connecting the Polish Pavilion in Osaka with Warsaw Chopin Airport. Thanks to real-time transmission, visitors will be able to listen to concerts performed by a pianist in the airport’s public area. Live music, flowing straight from the heart of Warsaw to Japan, will serve as an invitation to discover Polish culture, traditions, and hospitality. Pavilion visitors will also be able to interact with airport passengers through an installed system of cameras and visual communicators. During the concerts, guests of the Polish Pavilion will even be able to request specific pieces of music.

Application About Poland

Visitors waiting in line to enter the pavilion will have the opportunity to explore a multimedia presentation about Poland’s tourist attractions. The application will be available in Japanese.

Photo Point

During all Polish Tourism and Sports Days, a dedicated animator equipped with an INSTAX camera and a branded photo frame will encourage visitors to take souvenir photos. The photographs will be printed on-site and placed in a dedicated frame. The attraction will also include opportunities to take photos with athletes and artists participating in the events.

Virtual Bike Tour with Polish Olympic Champion Maja Włoszczowska

The “Virtual Tour” attraction is a custom-made application created especially for the Polish Tourism Organization. It consists of a mountain bike, a trainer, VR Oculus goggles, and a built-in TV screen. Participants will be able to get on the mountain bike, set up in a specially designated area, and after putting on 360-degree goggles, they will be transported into a virtual world where they will be welcomed by Olympic champion and multi-medalist in mountain biking, Maja Włoszczowska.

Mime – Pantomime Shows

To enrich the program of attractions around the pavilion, all-day pantomime shows will be staged, offering an unusual way of inviting visitors into the world of Polish culture, hospitality, and emotions. The shows will take the form of short, mobile etudes performed within the exhibition space.

The Witcher – A Global Pop Culture Phenomenon

A unique component of Poland’s promotion during Expo 2025 will be the use of one of the most globally recognizable pop culture brands originating in Poland – The Witcher. The saga created by Andrzej Sapkowski, expanded and popularized worldwide through video games by CD Projekt RED, has become an icon of modern mass culture. All over the world, millions of gamers and fans of TV series or cosplay associate The Witcher with Poland, even if not always fully consciously.
During the Polish Tourism and Sports Days, The Witcher will be presented as a bridge between Poland’s mythical, magical image and its modern character. The landscapes portrayed in the games and literature – mysterious forests, Gothic castles, and medieval settlements – will become a symbolic showcase of Poland’s nature and cultural heritage.
