Six months to go until Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai
The largest and most prestigious promotional, economic, and cultural event, World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, will commence on 13 April 2025. The exhibition concept for the Poland Pavilion was unveiled for the first time during PAIH Business Forum 2024. The progress of Poland’s preparations, six months ahead of the event, was also presented.
Work on the construction of the Poland Pavilion is gaining momentum, with the implementation of economic, cultural, and scientific promotion programmes progressing as planned. Both the Poland Pavilion and the indoor exhibition will showcase Poland as modern, creative, welcoming, and open to cooperation, Deputy Minister Jacek Tomczak said during the presentation.
Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, is comprehensive, focusing on the promotion of the economy, culture, science, and tourism. The scale of the project is reflected in the results of the activities undertaken thus far:
- 760+ participants in industry webinars that constitute a training series for Polish entrepreneurs,
- 50 companies to have enrolled in the Partner Programme,
- 7 universities with which agreements have been signed to implement student internships in the Poland Pavilion,
- 13 regions with which agreements have been signed to implement the regional promotion programme during the Expo,
- 100+ entities with which forces were joined in the promotion of Polish economy, culture, tourism and sports during the Expo.
At the World Expo, the economic aspect is just as important as the cultural, tourism, and scientific dimensions. With this event, we can comprehensively build our country’s image and strengthen Poland’s position on the international stage, said Magdalena Skarżyńska, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
As part of the presentation, a debate was also held on the World Expo as an event that fosters cross-sector cooperation in the country and unifies promotional activities aimed at international audiences. The debate included representatives from partner institutions involved in the implementation of the Polish promotion programme at the Expo, such as the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, the Polish Tourism Organisation, and the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Region.
The exhibition concept for the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, was unveiled for the first time during PAIH Business Forum 2024.
The national pavilions at the Expo showcase a country’s image, inviting further exploration. The exhibition aims to leave a positive impression on visitors, evoke emotions, and spark interest in the country. We are confident that the architecture of the Poland Pavilion, as well as its interior exhibition, will gain recognition in the eyes of the Japanese and visitors from around the world. I am very pleased that, with six months remaining until the start of the Expo, we had an opportunity to present the complete concept of the exhibition, said Eliza Klonowska-Siwak, Deputy Commissioner General of the Polish Section of the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Artistic installations inspired by Polish traditions, incorporating modern technologies and even artificial intelligence, will create a unique atmosphere in the Poland Pavilion, where heritage blends with the future and tradition meets innovation. Equally important to the exhibition will be the presentation of selected sectors of the Polish economy that hold promise for economic exchange between Poland and Japan.
Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, is a project under the responsibility of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency S.A. (PAIH), with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology acting as the supervisory institution.
