Poland signs Expo 2025 participation contract

Poland was among first nine countries to sign this type of contract, along with Azerbaijan, Brazil, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

During the Meeting participants also had an opportunity to visit 155-hectare Expo site on Yumeshima Island.

The site, designed to become an embodiment of “People’s Living Laboratory” concept, will feature three main areas – Pavilion World, Water World and Green World – and will be centered around a large wooden ring, that will serve as a corridor for the visitors. According to information from the Expo organizer, the ring will become world’s largest wooden structure of that type. The Pavilion World will include three zones associated with three subthemes of the Expo: Saving Lives, Empowering Lives and Connecting Lives. The Poland Pavilion will be situated in Saving Lives zone.

Dedicated sessions took place during the two-day meeting with regard to the meaning of the Expo’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, along with more technical aspects of preparations, pavilion construction, logistics and operations, as well as participation in the Virtual Expo.
