Medical Design Studio took part in the prestigious International Mental Wellbeing Conference in Osaka, organized by the Polish Pavilion (PAIH) as part of EXPO 2025, Osaka, Kansai. The event brought together leading experts in children’s mental health, emotional education, healing-centered design, and the wellbeing of both patients and medical staff.

During the presentation, Wojciech Drąg, CEO of Medical Design Studio, spoke about the impact of design on patient wellbeing—especially for children—and how empathetic, human-centered solutions can actively support the healing process. Among the featured projects were initiatives at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, the Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Poznań, the University Hospital in Zielona Góra, and child-friendly CT imaging rooms that combine medical function with elements of play and visual storytelling.

A special guest at the event was Jerzy Owsiak, founder of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity—an organization that has been transforming pediatric care in Poland for decades.

For Medical Design Studio, participating in the conference was not only an honor but also a strong affirmation of the vital role that design plays in the process of healing.
