25,000 people visited Poland Pavilion in Osaka during the Lodz Region Week at Expo 2025

We have completed the week of the Lodz Region in Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Very rich in every field, interesting because of the Contractor, intensive because of the program, demanding because of the weather, keeping upright because of the 3 official delegations.
- The pavilion was visited by around 25,000 visitors;
- Concerts at the Hall (including Chopin concerts and those of the Academy of Music in Lodz) were listened to by 1150 people;
- In 19 workshops organized by: Ethnographic Museum, Lodz Film School, Second High School in Lodz, Katarzyna Kobro, about 1,200 people participated;
- A fashion show of 4 collections by designers from Lodz Region was seen by about 500 people;
- Concerts on outdoor stages were listened to by about 400 people (Lodz Philharmonic, Academy of Music);
- The celebration of the Constitution Day on May 3 was attended by more than 300 people;
A total of 28 550 people.
The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation headed by Regional Council Chairwoman Malgorzata Grabarczyk. On April 27, a delegation headed by Marshal Joanna Skrzydlewska, Deputy Marshal Piotr Wojtysiak, Regional Governor Dorota Ryl and the President of the Lodz Economic Zone joined in. On May 2, a delegation headed by Deputy Marshal Agnieszka Ryś and Regional Board member Artur Ostrowski came to the Picnic with Polish Music.
Within the framework of economic promotion, the region organized:
- Economic Mission;
- Lodz Business Forum;
- Award ceremonies for contributions to the development of the Polish economy for 3 Japanese companies operating in the Lodz region: DAIKIN, FUJITSU, FUJI SEAL;
- Regional delegations visited pavilions: Korea, United States, Women’s, Czech Republic, Germany, France.
The week also included Flag Day celebrations (a picnic with Polish music – moved in front of Poland Pavilion due to the weather) and a celebration of the May 3 Constitution Day. In addition to the delegation from the Lodz Region, the event was attended by a delegation from the Silesia Region headed by Deputy Marshal Leszek Pietraszek, a 25-member group of dancers from Kyoto, a 25-member group of children from the city of Ena, and a delegation from the Ena city government headed by the mayor. Large evening concert by the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble at the Station Festival – about 300 participants.
