Expo 2025 Osaka

World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the biggest and most important economic and cultural event in the world, will be held from 13^th  April  to 13^th  October 2025 in Japan.

This will be the third time Japan hosts this event. In 1970, Expo took place in Osaka, and in 2005 – in Aichi prefecture.

The site for the Expo is located in Yumeshima, an artificial island on the waterfront in Osaka. Yumeshima is one of three artificial islands targeted by the “Technoport Osaka” plan formulated in 1988 and aiming to develop a new city center. The organizers of Expo 2025 predict that 175 participants will take part in the exhibition, including 150 countries and 25 international organizations. The projected visitor count is approximately 28,2 million, while 3,5 million of them are guests from overseas.

Expo 2025 in Osaka aims to become a reference to the original principles of the World Exhibitions, as well as a continuation of the central theme of Expo 2020 Dubai.
