Performed by the winner of the 18th International Chopin Competition — together with artists from the National Philharmonic, conducted by Andrzej Boreyko. The program includes: Overture of the opera Paria by Stanisław Moniuszki; Chopin piano concert by the winner of the 18th International Chopin Competition; Krzesany by Wojciech Kilar

On November 11, 2021 Poland will celebrate National Independence Day to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty in 1918. Apart of numerous events and parades that will take place in Poland, Adrian Malinowski – Commissioner General of the Polish Section Expo 2020 Dubai, invites all to join celebration of this special day at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The programme of the Poland Independence Day includes all day long, various activities, such as games for children, artistic performances, music recitals in the Poland Pavilion and a special surprise prepared by hosts of the Pavilion. The culminating point of the day will take place in the evening, in the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre at Expo 2020 Dubai. The Expo’s visitors will be invited to take part in the classical music concert performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyko, and discover works of the greatest Polish composers – Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko and Mieczysław Karłowicz.

The main attraction of the concert will be a performance of the laureate of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition – Martín García García from Spain.

The Chopin Competition is the most important musical event in Poland and one of the most important musical events in the world. In addition to its enormous role in popularising Chopin's music for over 90 years, it discovers the greatest pianistic talents, providing young musicians with the most effective start in their international career. The last edition of the Competition took place in October 2021 in Warsaw.

  • Stanisław Moniuszko – Overture „Paria”
  • Fryderyk Chopin – Piano concert – the laureate of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition – Martín García García
  • Mieczysław Karłowicz – Serenade for strings

The concert will be performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyko.

The Official Patron of the "Chopin at Expo 2020 Dubai" is PKN ORLEN. Partners are the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and Warsaw Philharmonic.
