The Polish Science and Education Days at World Expo 2025 in Osaka offered five days of dynamic events that proved Poland is not only ready for the challenges of the future – it is actively creating solutions that shape it. And what’s more, they’re sparking real global interest.
Poland has prepared an extraordinary architectural proposal for the World Exposition 2025 in Osaka. The spiral form of Poland Pavilion, made of wood and inspired by the traditional Japanese Kigumi Koho technique, symbolizes creativity and serves as a bridge connecting Polish and Japanese cultures. The design reflects the motto “Heritage that drives the future” and, together with the exhibition inside, offers visitors not only aesthetic experiences but also a profound story about national identity and technology.
Medical Design Studio is an interdisciplinary design studio focused on humanizing hospital spaces—especially pediatric ones—by creating friendly, supportive environments that promote healing and emotional comfort for patients. The studio’s approach is rooted in the salutogenic philosophy, which assumes that well-designed surroundings can actively support health and well-being—not only by reducing stress, but also by fostering recovery.
The staff of Poland Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 represents our country in outfits created especially for the occasion. The design was inspired by both Polish and Japanese culture and design, and its creator is Karolina Augustowska from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski visited Poland Pavilion during his official trip to Japan, focused on cooperation in digitalization and cybersecurity. His presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai strongly emphasized the role Poland plays today on the global stage of technology, innovation, and cultural values.
The largest concert venue at Expo 2025 in Osaka – the Matsuri Arena – was filled with a crowd of several thousand people, who gave the performers a standing ovation and long-lasting applause! The enthusiastic reactions of smiling Japanese audience members, who thanked for the magical performance as they left the concert, are moments that have become part of the history of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Medical Design Studio took part in the prestigious International Mental Wellbeing Conference in Osaka, organized by the Polish Pavilion (PAIH) as part of EXPO 2025, Osaka, Kansai. The event brought together leading experts in children’s mental health, emotional education, healing-centered design, and the wellbeing of both patients and medical staff.
On June 26, during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, a prestigious conference titled “United to Save Lives” took place. The event was organized as part of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union and marked one of the key highlights of Poland Pavilion’s program at Expo 2025. The participation of representatives from various EU countries, Japan, and other regions of the world gave the conference a distinctly international character.
The exhibition “Poland. Heritage that drives the future” blooms anew every day – alive, changing, breathing to the rhythm of the visitors who come to see it.
On June 30, 2025, Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka will become the site of a unique event held in celebration of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Starting June 15 in Osaka, visitors will be able to see exhibition by one of the most recognised Japanese artists of young generation, Yuriko Sasaoka, dedicated to the figure of Maria Skłodowska-Curie. The project re-tells the story of the outstanding scientist.
