Poland. Film Days

poland film days

Polish cinema at Expo will impress with its diversity.

A showcase of the most compelling titles from both contemporary and classic Polish cinema – accompanied by debates and special screenings.

From September 26 to 30, 2025, as part of Expo in Osaka, the Polish Film Days will take place, organized by the Polish Film Institute and the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute. The event will focus on promoting both contemporary and classic Polish cinema, while fostering Polish–Japanese dialogue in the field of film production.

Program highlights include:

  • Industry meetings (B2B) between Polish and Japanese film producers – a space for building partnerships and promoting co-productions
  • Screenings of Polish films in art-house cinemas across Osaka – showcasing both modern works and timeless classics
  • Film music concerts performed by the Choir of the Gdynia Maritime University, featuring pieces from some of the most iconic Polish productions
  • An exhibition of Polish film posters – presenting the graphic design legacy of Polish cinema
  • Film workshops held in front of the Poland Pavilion – open to the public, offering insight into the creative process behind image and sound

Thanks to Polish Film Days, Polish cinematography will be presented in Osaka not just as art to be watched, but as a meeting space – for filmmakers, audiences, and the industry alike.
