The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland, Altay Abibullajev, in an interview given to Polish Press Agency, talks about the preparations for EXPO 2017 Astana International in Kazakhstan.
“In 2017, for 100 days Kazakhstan will be hosting an EXPO in Astana. Poland has already signed an agreement to participate (…). Of course, EXPO is an important event in social, political and economic life of Kazakhstan. We would like to use Expo as a next, important step in economic development of our country” – said the Ambassador.
He added that more than 3 thousand events will be organised within the framework of EXPO. “We expect that as more than 100 countries will take part in EXPO and we estimate more than 5 millions visitors. The entire infrastructure of the city is renewed – a new airport, a new railway station. More than 40 thousand people are working on developing this infrastructure” – he said.
