Connecting Minds, Creating the Future
By choosing a theme, the hosts want to emphasize that the challenges of today's world are so complex and complicated that they cannot be solved in isolation. They encourage people to work together - regardless of latitude, institutional barriers or cultural differences. Expo 2020 is to be a platform for dialogue, an announcement of a future based on cooperation.
The main theme is developed by three sub-topics:
A call to find the potential for creativity that lies dormant in people and in societies. This area covers issues such as education, employment, new technologies, financial capital and management.
Focuses on smarter and more efficient use of people's mobility and exchange of goods and ideas. It is a proposal for discussion, devoted to transport, travel, research, logistics and digital communication.
A manifesto of living in harmony and balance with our planet. Inspiration for activities for the protection of our ecosystems, effective resource management, environmental protection and the reduction of climate change.
Expo 2020 in Dubai is to be an integrating exhibition. Hence the Organizers' desire to invite as many countries as possible to participate and attract the largest group of foreign guests in the history of the Expo Exhibitions (70% of all visitors).

Expo exhibitions: the whole world in one place
Expo World Exhibitions are the largest and most prestigious events in the world, combining economic, promotional, cultural and tourist themes. They take place every 5 years, and their scale is comparable to the Olympic Games or the World Cup.
A comprehensive, colourful presentation of the achievements of almost all countries and the largest organizations in the world creates a huge innovative spectacle, using multimedia and the latest techniques of building exhibitions. All this means that starting from the Great Exhibition in London in 1851, Expo World Exhibitions became the capital of the world for six months, attracting crowds of guests - from State delegations at the highest level, businessmen seeking new contracts, to tourists and families with children.
Initially, World Exhibitions were initially a forum for presenting scientific achievements and sharing knowledge and the new possibilities of technology. It was Expo that became the place for the first presentation of many inventions (the telephone, x rays, commercial television, mobile phones and even ... burgers) or symbols of modern architectural (Vasco da Gama’s bridge in Lisbon, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Statue of Liberty in New York or Atomium in Brussels).
Today, Expo is the only such platform of international dialogue for progress and cooperation. In the case of Expo, the assumption of searching for solutions to fundamental challenges facing humanity. ceases to be just a pompous statement, and takes on the dimension of real action. Expo is becoming a catalyst for social and economic changes, as well as a unique opportunity to build a country’s brand.
The organization of World Exhibitions is the responsibility of the International Exhibition Bureau in Paris (Bureau International des Expositions), which is responsible for the selection of the host country and the proper conduct of the event.
